WATERPROOF THEORY
PATRONI’s waterproof film is a microporous hydrophobic membrane. The principle behind its ability to prevent water from entering is that the pores are smaller than water molecules. However, the pores are larger than water vapor, allowing it to escape while keeping water out. This allows for breathability while maintaining waterproofness.
HOW WE TEST
Our waterproof shoes are certified by EU ISO 20345 and Taiwan CNS 20345, but before production, we send every pair of our waterproof shoes to the lab for a walking simulation test. We put the shoes on a man-made foot and submerge them in a water tank. We make sure that each pair of shoes goes through at least 100,000 steps and check for any signs of leakage or defects. Only after passing this test, we allow the shoes to be produced to ensure that every customer receives a “100% waterproof” pair of shoes.
